The conference is determined to be in Huntington Place in Detroit, but some details may change due to a leadership quarrel between Christina Karmo and Pete Hocastra, which both currently claim to preside over Michigan GOP.
The Republican National Committee voted on Wednesday to recognize Hokestra as a chair, but Karmo has said that she is not accepting and still planning to run the conference.

What is happening with a primary and a cocks?
The Michigan Republican Party was forced to develop a new plan, when the democratic leadership legislature carried forward the primary election by the state government from mid -March to 27 February, which was requested by Democratic President Joe Biden.
The Republican National Committee Rules stopped the states from jumping from the front of the primary line without the permission of the party, which would have punished the state party for rewarding delegates from any election before March 1.
Therefore, with the blessings of the National Party, Michigan GOP developed a hybrid scheme, allowing the state party to maintain their full slate of 55 representatives for the nomination conference of the National Presidential, which is scheduled in the milk in July.
Do primary voters not decide nominees?
Not enough.
Like any other presidential year, the President’s preference competition decides how many representatives of Michigan will be pledged to each candidate at the National Conference, where the candidate is officially selected.
Is there a priority for Republican on 27 February?
Yes, but not that much in normal years.
Michigan will hold both a Democratic and Republican President’s primary election on 27 February. Republican voters will decide how the state party rewarded the Presidential representatives for the Republican National Convention in Milwauki on 16 July for its presidential post. If the primary was not transferred, the voters would have selected all 55 enrolled representatives.
The absent ballots are already out, and the nine -day starting polling begins on Saturday.
Trump, East South Carolina village. Nikki Haley and Texas entrepreneurs Ryan Binkly are competing in GOP Primary. Four candidates who had already abolished their campaigns would also appear on ballot papers, which were printed before going out.
Any candidate receiving 12.5% of GOP primary vote will be guaranteed at least two representatives from Michigan.
They can earn another representative for every 6.25% of the primary vote received, and the popular vote winner will have anyone left.
If Michigan’s results reflected the New Hampshire, where Trump won 54.3% of the GOP primary vote for Haley’s 43.2%, he will win six of his six primary representatives.
But at a state party Caucus Conference which could be piled up with his supporters, Trump could also win many more representatives there.
How will the Cocks Convention of March 2 work?
Michigan GOP will allocate 39 of its 55 presidential nominees based on the results of 13 separate Congress district caucas meetings at a conference of March 2.
All meetings are slapped to start concurrently at 10 am at Huntington Place in Detroit.
Trump, Haley and Binkle were one of the six candidates who paid $ 20,000 to appear on the Cocks ballot, which was the fee designed to cover the costs of the convention.
Voting Michigan will be limited to the GOP Precute Delegates (who won the local election in August 2022). State MPs can also be participated in as big representatives.
In each Congress District Cocks meeting, the Republican will decide how to allocate the three presidential nominees for a total of 39.
