West Virginia First Foundation accepts bids for accounting, banking and investment

West Virginia First Foundation, which is responsible for guiding the state, has awarded some contracts for supporting the work from Opioid Litigation settlements.

Following a discussion in the closed session, members of the Foundation Board honored Smith Kochran and Charleston’s Hicks for accounting services.

The West Virginia-Classyal United Bank was provided banking services and investment services were equally divided between two banks, Vesbando in support of the lead and United Bank. Each responded to a request for the proposal, representing the competitive bid.

The West Virginia First Foundation Board also discussed policies for a new-affected expert panel, which was to advise it, as well as a regional panel meant to provide expertise for local decisions.

State Health Officer Matthew Christiansen said, “This structure will give us wide geographical understanding and distribution of whatever is happening at the local level and will give us the subject matter expertise.”

The Foundation has $ 220,129,242.95 banks, which said Jeff Sandy, a member of the former motherland security secretary of the state, Jeff Sandy. This includes an interest of $ 2,629,142.

The West Virginia First Foundation is holding its meetings at 2 pm on Thursday of every month. The next one is 7 March.
