West Virginia doctor charged with tax fraud, obstructing justice

Elkins, W.VA. – A Randolf County doctor has been accused of cheating IRS.

According to the American Attorney Bill Ihlenfeld, an office in Elkins and a gastroenterologist with manufacturing facility. Nitesh Ratnakar has been accused of tax fraud after allegedly withdrawing payroll taxes from his employees’ salary and not making required payments for IRS.


Ihlenfeld said that Ratnakar failed to pay more than $ 2.4 million collected between 2018 and 2022.

Ratnakar has been charged for 41 cases of tax fraud, a count to obstruct a federal grand jury investigation, filing false tax returns in 2020, 2021 and 2022, and providing false documents in response to a federal grand jury sub -Uopna.

IRS criminal investigation investigated.

Ratnakar has treated patients with officials at Davis Health System, Wareton Medical Center and Martins Ferry, Ohio.
