Uber is helping parents to feel more relaxed and in control when their teenagers require a ride or order food on UbeReats through a new feature.
The company recently launched adolescent accounts in more than 200 cities in 45 states, where parents can create an account for their child between 13 and 17 years of age.
Here, teenagers can request riding or order food while parents have access to their children. These accounts allow parents to track their child’s ride and even determine the range of expenditure for UbeReats orders, according to a press release by Uber.
According to Uber, “A parent or guardian can invite his teenager to create an account through his family profile in the Uber app.” The teenage app will then get a link to download your new teenage account and complete the compulsory safety onboarding process. After that, adolescents can request trips and start ordering food on their own. ,
Parents may assure that their teenagers are safe with facilities during their Uber ride:
- Live trip and delivery tracking: Parents can follow together and get real-time updates
- PIN Verification: Teen will give a unique pin to drivers before entering the car
- Ridecheck: Uber will monitor if a ride stops, stops unexpectedly, or ends quickly
- Audio Recording available on Trip: User can record audio of your trip through app
- Extended Communication: Parents can contact the driver at any time
- Only high rated, experienced driver and courier
- Spending limit: parents can determine budget and spending limit
- Teen -friend
“Adolescent accounts are made with transparency keeping in mind that there is no surprise for parents, adolescents, or drivers,” said Uber’s product manager Mariana Estevs. “We are thrilled to offer this innovative facility to families in more cities across America, with major security facilities built in the heart of experience. Whether his teenager is getting rides for internship or going home after football practice, parents will receive real-time information and can follow it with live trip tracking in every way. We are committed to keeping the teenager safe and helping families move forward. ,
Uber participated with safe children worldwide, a global non -profit organization dedicated to protecting children from stopping injuries when creating these new accounts.
“As part of our work, we were able to provide advice and expertise to Uber that the teenager had a safe experience to leave from pickup. By providing a safe option to parents to help achieve their adolescence, we hope that it will help create a more equitable solution for families facing obstacles in transport, ”said Torine Crei, President of Safe Kids Worldwide.
