Two people hospitalized after crash caused by shots fired Tuesday night in Wake County


Officers are investigating after firing on a vehicle on Tuesday night at Wake County near Rollsville.

According to the Office of Wake County Sheriff, a report of a vehicle collided with a gun fire was responded to while traveling west on Mitchell Mill Road near Johnville Road.

A jeep wrangler and a dark-collar SUV Michelle were traveling on Mill Road when the shots were allegedly fired on the jeep. The jeep then thrown out of the road and flipped on that side.

Officials said no one faced a gun pellet wound, but the emergency staff took a jeep and a passenger’s driver to the hospital for non-janienie injuries related to the accident.

The dark SUV left the scene. The depots are working to determine the circumstances behind the incident.

The Sheriff Office said the investigation is going on and no one is in custody.
