Massel knows that Parkersburg South and Beckle will chase hot on Saturday. The final starts at 6 pm at 10:30 pm.
Girls also take mat for the first time in this setting on Saturday morning. They will perform all rounds to determine the finalist. Starting weight at 106 for boys and 100 for girls.
“Beckle found a great team,” said Massel. “We have gone out and got to do it.”
Parkersburg South has three in the finals and four of Beckle. Patriots 144, known for the title, have Nathan Murphy in 175, Gauge Wright and 215 Aden Morris. In Running, Eagles 113 is Garat Johnson at 132, Tyler Rork in 132, Jimmy Bells 138 and Vance Neil 157.
Point Placents led the Class AA with 166 points and follows the defending champion Fairmont Senior 158 closely. The Big Blax has nine wrestlers who will score and in five finals. He was Carter Price at 113, Nathan Wood in 126, Gunner Andeick 138, Josh Wayen 165 and 285 in Cover. Fairmont Senior has six wrestlers. They are Bryus Nichols at 106, Jason Walker in 126, Maximus Fortier in 144, Hunter Sport in 150 and Gavin Michael in 175.

In Class A, the wheeling Central went to the top with 84.5 points. Revengewood is second with 53. The wheeling Central has four finalists. They are Brexon birch at 120, Elie Tedro in 157, Wet Brady in 165 and Isaac Martin in 215.
In Saturday morning, consolation matches and girls have been ventured on mats for the first time in this setting. He will wrestle all his matches during the day to set the finals that night. Action will begin from 106 for boys and 100 for girls.
There are personal connections in the finals of three class AAA finalists.
Huntington High’s Riggs won twice at 144 to get their first shot on a state title.
Rigs, one senior, defeated Colin Sheffar of Martinsburg in the morning quarter -finals, then dropped the Troy Harris of Beckle in the semi -final round at Marshall Health Network Arena. He defeated Harris 5–0.
Rigs said, “stayed under control and liked it,” Rigs said.
A year ago, Rigs was defeated in overtime in the semi -final round.
“No way we’re going to overtime again,” said Highlanders coach John Dempse. “He came out of the shoot and completed it.”
Will see an familiar face in the championship round at Rigs Murphy, defeating Murphy in the region 4 tournament.
“I was not nervous,” Rigs said. “You don’t ignore anyone. I have done all the work to prepare. Just found to go out and do. ,
Another good story 126 is from George Washington’s Benjamin McComas. He defeated Ben Barrett of Huntington in the semi -finals.
McComas won his semi -final match last year to pursue his story, after which he came out and had to default in the finals.
“I was nervous,” said McComas. “It matters a lot to go to the finals and be able to compete. I landed for a good start, he went away and I was able to get a takedown at the end. ,
“He is inspired,” GW coach Alex Neil said. “He has put all the work. You do not forget what happened last year. ,
Moses Eds of St. Albens is back to the finals at 150. He will face Spring Mills Landon Hardon. He is going for another state title. He won his freshman year, but was reduced by the next two.
“Two solid matches,” EADS said. “I am inspired. Left in a good way. ,
Red Dragon defeated Matt McAfee 3–1 by Jacob Perry of Spring Mills.
Cabel Midland’s finalist is Robert Shoky in 190. He defeated Malki Washington of wheeling park in the semi -finals to get a fourth chance in a state title.
Shoki, a transfer from Parkersburg South, said, “There is definitely not a clean match.” “Not proud of how I wrestled especially now. But I won and this means. ,
Shocki was inspired by some inspiration when he was pinned by a Stonton River (V.) wrestler in the final at WSAD Invitational.
“I knew that he was good,” said Shokki. “That Monday I was the worst practice of my life.”
Until this year, Shoki Parkersburg was part of the championship teams at South. The patriots are in hunting to repeat again. He lost in the final in the last three years.
“It would be a dream landscape,” said the shocki. “This is my last chance.”
In 157, the storm walls of the storm and Owen Dafi in 285 were lost in the semi -finals.
In Class AA-A, Nicols defeated Sisonville’s Devin Fauler at 106. Fouler’s teammates, Austin High, lost to Fairmont Senior’s Hunter Spitzonog in 150 and Woy defeated Herbert Hoover’s Jake Aden in 165.
