His family said in a statement that Chicago Bear Great Steve McMCEL is expected to be released from a suburban hospital in the coming days after being admitted to the intensive care unit on Thursday evening with an infection, his family said in a statement.
66 -year -old Macmichael also had to go through a process to remove fluid from his lungs during his admission to his current hospital, said on Friday.
McMachael, who was selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame last week, has been in a one -year battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). They have lost the ability to talk or move, and their bodies have been destroyed by progressive nervous system disease.
When his family learned in the last summer that the Seniors Committee of the Hall of Fame recommended Macmicel to admission, he was thrilled that he was still alive to receive such respect.
“It is happening,” Macmichael’s wife, Misty, told the tribune in late August. “And you have no idea. This has been a reason for him to keep walking, keep fighting.”
During the 15-season NFL career, McMachael played 13 years with Beers, which included 191 consecutive regular-season games and 12 in the playoffs. He was a prominent member of the Beers Defense in the 1980s and a disruptive force on the defensive line during the 1985 beer had gone to his Super Bowl XX Triumph.
Six NFCs were part of the NFC Central Championship teams with McMachael Bears and the team had 92 1/2 sacks, with Famer Richard Dent’s companion, second in the history of the franchise behind the hall.
Last week, a day after Macmichael’s Hall of Fame Entry, his youngest sister Kathy, Kathy, was expressed by his youngest sister Kathy at the NFL Honors event during the Super Bowl Week in Las Vegas.
Kathy said, “This is the most amazing feeling to know that it is inside and to know that it is being recognized.” “And he deserves it. … We waited for a very long time. And it is just amazing that he becomes a part of it. We all wanted him to know that he was going to be in the hall of fame and lived there for eternity.”

McMichael’s family and friends hope that he will live for a long time to experience August 3 Hall of Fame Entertainment Ceremony, whether it is from his home in Homer Glenn or, Canton, Ohio, by some miraculous sets, with a proper medical oversight.
After being admitted to this week’s hospital, Macmichaels are fighting again and recovering again.
