MorGantown, W.VA – Busketball head coach Pausketball’s head coach Paul Berncide stepped into court on February 17 at the WACO Center of Glenville State University to lead his bulldog at the Little Kanwa Sammelan Night of the Champions. Four teams qualified for this program by finishing the top two in their respective divisions.
The event was led by the other three teams by the head coaches of the state champion – Mick Price of Revengewood, Michael Gray of Webster County and Scott Soro of Williamstown.
In third place game, Doddridge County defeated Revengewood 42–38.

“It was very big for our program. Our team was sitting at the beginning of the year and our goal was to go that night. This is the first time our program has been in 30 years. This was one of our goals, so we feel blessed to do so, ”said Berncide.
“Then to go there and to face the team coached by Mick Price, which is not the best coach in West Virginia, and is best for us to come up with victory, I am very proud of my team.”
Dodddij County enters its sectional semi-finals against the integrated taunler with a record of 15–7. Bulldogs score 45.4 points per game, third best in class A.
“As we are coming here under the stretch, I think we are becoming more stingy. We are catching about 40 points or less teams in those games. This actually gives us a chance to succeed. ,
From 2020–2022, Dodddij County won just nine games. Last year, Bulldog posted a victorious season with a 12–11 points.
“We had a lot of players who got a lot of experience last year. We were highly astrologers. We are very blessed where we are now.
“I have a very young team. All together, JV and Versity-War, I have a 21-man roster. 17 out of 21 are new and Sofomore. And I have a junior and three senior. My three seniors [Brandon Hileman, Ethan Cross and Jacob DeHaven] Has really helped us. ,
The Hillman takes Bulldog to score at 17.4 points per game.
“They have a habit to play solid defense. He can score the ball, but he can also do it, when we need him, he can cover anything and run anything. He handles the ball very well. He often provides a help and a cool appearance when teams are trying to pressurize us. ,
To reach the Class A State Tournament, Bulldog has to navigate a challenging area I navigate with 2023 state semi-finalists Clay-Battle and Ovac 1A Champion Cameron.
“This state is our goal to reach the tournament, as it is for every team that starts the season. This will be such a blessing.
“Every year we constantly improve because I have handled the program. As you win, more people come out and support. The more success you have, the more enthusiasm will be. ,
