St. Charles East Coach Jason Potter ranked the number 1 in the country in his weight category as “one of the best wrestlers to come out of Illinois” and Davino gave all the eyes on his mat.
The road of Dewino was not easy for his fourth state title. He faced Hononaga against Hononaga against two-time state champions Thomas Silva (28–4) in the first match of the state final.

In 144 pounds, St. Charles East Senior Jayaden Colon (41-5) captured the second personal title of the monk in the first 30 minutes of 30 minutes of the final. Coleon won its third state title, with a big decision of 14–5 on Ivan Gosz of Fremd. This was Gosz’s first defeat of the season.

St. Charles East Sofomore Dome Munrato (47-3) aims to win its second Straight State title, with looking at the colon directly from the walkway above their match.
Nicholas Garcia of Marmian had other schemes. Garcia earned his first state championship by defeating Munrato 4–2 in a 113-pound title match.
After his enthusiastic win, Garcia (45–7) jumped into the arms of his two Marmian coaches.
“I am really excited,” said Garcia. “The key was to do the plan by us for the previous month and did it. It has been 16 years for this moment. I have been wrestling for 13 years, so I have been waiting for it because I have seen everyone else in my children’s club. ,
Marmion Sophomore Zach Stewart started the program by winning the class 3A 138-Pound State Championship by defeating Justin Wardlo of Lockport 6-3.
“Obviously, I had a difficult rival,” Stewart said after his 30th win. “He is a very good wrestler. I went out thinking that I could win. I just had to go out of there and do what I know to do. I was expecting a state title last year but struggling with some injuries. I came back with the right mentality and came back and found what I was entitled. ,
Marmion Sophomore Joseph Favia lost to Loyola’s Kai Calcutta in the final in 215 pounds, which increased to 37–7 in the season.
Other region medal winners included Batavia Senior Ino Garcia, who were third in 120 pounds in class 3A; Senior Aden Haq of Batavia, fourth in 144 pounds; St. Charles East Senior Gavin Konoli, third in 150 pounds; St. Charles East Junior Anthony Gutrez, fourth in 165 pounds; St. Charles East Senior Body Murray, third in 175; And the fifth in Kanland’s Senior Comrone Scroll, Class 2 A120-Pound Division.
