HB 4320 treats children of all ages. As it came to the Senate, it provides parents and parents access to the medical records of minor children, except for those who are graduates of high school, liberation or married.
Senate Health added another exception: If medical suspicion is that the patient is a victim of hair abuse or neglect.
Sen Tom Tom, R-Kanwa, and Ryan Weld, R-Bruk, expressed concern that the bill does not address issues such as non-Custodial biological parents or biological parents, whose rights have been abolished or disorganized for violent offenses.
The bill goes next to the judiciary, where Weld is the vice -president, and he said he would offer more changes.
The committee approved the bill in a voice vote, which had no audio votes.
HB 4233 will add a single sentence to the state code related to birth registration: “Birth certificate will list the child’s sex at birth as a man or woman and cannot use the word ‘non-binary’.”
The committee approved it without any discussion and there was no disintegration in the voice vote. It is the head of the full Senate.
HB 4933 worries about Medicade coverage for dentures. The current code sets an annual range of $ 1,000 for all dental services.
The House sent to a bill that holds $ 1,000 cap, but specifies that dentures have been covered but are not included in the cap.
Cindy Bean
Senate Health amended the bill to remove the mention of the denture, but to convert the cap to $ 2,000 in two years.
It was explained that a set of dentures – the upper and lower – can run as high as high as $ 1,200, so Medicade patients could find a plate and other plate at the beginning of the next year at the end of the year. This creates some problems: one, trying to act with just half a set of teeth; And two, getting that second plate at the beginning of the new year and much less money for the rest of the year.
Bureau of Medical Services Commissioner Cindy Bean also said that the Senate version would save the state money by not adding additional coverage for the denture above $ 1,000 cap.
Bean told the senators that the state spends about $ 40 million per year on adult Medicade benefits, with about 75% – $ 30 million, federal matches.
The senators also approved the bill in a voice vote, which had no vote. It goes next to finance.
