At the University of St. Augustine, the students ‘parents’ answers from the University of the students claimed that their children have not received their financial assistance refund.
Claims come when the university fights to maintain its recognition due to financial troubles.
In December, the Commission of Southern Association of Colleges and Schools voted on colleges to remove St. Augustine’s recognition. The group found that the university failed to follow several standards, including financial responsibility.
The school says that this recognition is planning to appeal in denial.
A parent said that his daughter, a senior of St. Augustine, is still waiting for financial assistance from the 2023 semester.
“No one is taking accountability to anyone what is going on,” the mother, who wanted to be anonymous, said.
He said that his daughter and others depend on financial aid for educational and living expenses.
“Please correct these students. All this we are asking,” he said.
Another parents, whose son is a sophomore, called the situation a “tragic situation of cases”.
