Lansing – Pete Hoekstra is the new chairman of Michigan Gop, according to a new Republican National Committee, it has been determined that Christina Karmo has vowed to fight as she continues to claim the state party post.
The members of the RNC Executive Committee on Wednesday, after determining a separate competition committee, voted unanimously to confirm the Hocastra as a Michigan member, determined that it was a valid party chair, according to a source with the first hand knowledge of the vote.
A long time RNC member of Michigan, Rob Steel, confirmed the determination in a text message to bridge Michigan.

Former Ambassador and American representative, Hocastra, who has supported former President Donald Trump, responded to RNC’s decision to “end his misinformation campaign” and fully abandon the control of Michigan GOP.
Hocastra said in a statement, “Since I was elected president, we have proceeded to develop a plan to choose a Republican in Michigan.”
“We are ready to execute. We should put our nose in grindstone in the next several months and focus on party unity to secure the red-wave victory in November.”
Karmo has already vowed to continue her fight. She opposed critics who organized January meetings and selected Hocestra to hold her, in violation of the state party by -elections, which made her actions illegitimate.
Oak Park Republican told the bridge on Wednesday, “We are a lower organization, so the representatives choose who their chair is, not RNC,”
Karmo said, “If the court intervenes and says that I have to give up the control of the party, then definitely changes things,” Karmo said. “I’m not going to jail.”
A judge of Kent County may weigh soon. A hearing is set on a trial of critics next week, trying to compel Karmo with party bank accounts, emails and social media to turn on.
The leadership dispute has attached the Michigan GOP for more than a month. Opponents, after voting to remove him on 6 January, organized a separate and large state committee meeting, where supporters voted to keep him.
RNC’s decision comes two weeks before the President’s Primary Primary of 27 February of Michigan. The state party will also organize a Cocks Conference on 2 March which will help decide whether Trump or Nikki Haley is nominated by GOP.
Karmo said that she is planning to oversee the 2 March conference, even if she recognizes RNC Hocatstra as a chair.
He was elected a year ago after a failed run for the state secretary, a competition Karamo has refused to accept.
