Prabowo Subianto Religion, Is He Muslim? Family Background

Prabowo Subianto Djojohadikusumo is an Indonesian politician and former Army Lieutenant General.

Prabovo graduated from the Indonesian military academy in 1970 and served in most special forces.

In 1998, he was removed from the army for alleged human rights violations and banned to enter the United States.

The same year, he was appointed to lead the Strategic Reserve Command.

He is known as a nationalist with right -wing ideas. Since 2019, Prabovo has served as the Minister of Defense in Indonesia.

On January 7, 2023, Prabovo Subiento announced that he was running for the President of Indonesia.

He aims to become the next President. His ongoing partner for the Vice President is Gibran Rakbuming, who is the eldest son of the current President Joko Vidodo.

As of February 14, 2024, an informal preliminary polling report revealed that Prabovo was a pioneer in three major polling districts with 58% votes.

This news inspired the New York Times to express concern about the situation of democracy in Indonesia. He suggested that democracy could be released there.

Prabowo Subianto Religion, is he a Muslim?

The Prabowo Subianto is a rich former general who has both the well -liked current President of Indonesia, Djko Vidodo and the dictatorial heritage of the country.

In particular, Prabovo was married to the daughter of former plotist President Suharto.

Based on its political support and current voting, Prabowo is set to become the next leader of Indonesia after the upcoming elections.

While Prabovo enjoys enough fame as a prominent politician and businessman, he has not openly discussed his personal religious beliefs.

His supporters and Indonesian people are curious about what belief, if any, can practice prabovo.

However, when asked about his religion, he kept quiet. Online some speculations are surprised whether Prabovo is a Muslim, which is a majority religion in Indonesia.


But Prabovo himself has neither confirmed nor denied rumors about his religious affiliation.

As a public individual, he has kept his personal belief separate from his personal and his political identity.

Despite his beliefs, Prabovo’s policy will be determined by the positions of Prabovo and his electoral success for Indonesia’s future.

His religious views are also unclear as his political platform continues to receive traction among voters.

Prabowo Subianto Family Background

The famous Indonesian politician, Prabovo, was born in 1951, till now, 2024, 72 years old.

He was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, which was from his loving and rich parents, Sumito Dojohadiksumo and Dora Maria Cigar.

Prabowo’s father, Sumito Djojohadikusumo (1917–2001), was an economist who served as a minister under former President Suharto.

He named Prabovo after his younger brother, a war hero, who died of fighting Japanese during the Indonesia revolution.

Prabovo’s mother, Dora Maria Cigar (1921–2008), was a Protestant Christian of the Minhasan dynasty from North Sulawesi. His parents married in the Netherlands.

Prabovo has two elder sisters, Bianti and Maryani, and a younger brother named Hashim.

Bianti is married to a former Central Bank Governor, while Marini is married to a French businessman.

Prabovo’s brother Hashim is one of the richest traders in Indonesia, which has assets globally.

In May 1983, Prabowo Subianto married Titiek Soeharto, the second daughter of the former President of Indonesia. Titic is known as its first name popularly.

Prabowo and Titiek had a son named Didit HeDiprasetyo. The Didit was educated in Boston and became a fashion and car interior designer.

Prabovo and Titic divorced in 1998 after their father, Soharto, resigned as President amidst anti -government opposition and riots.
