The Northbrook Park District is organizing an open house on 29 February.
According to a news release, family will be able to meet summer camp supervisors and managers to talk about arts, sports, STEMs, Figure Skating, Dance, Theater, and more focused on more. There will be art and craft activities directed for children, so adults will have a chance to get information and ask questions. Refreshment will be provided.
“Every year we develop programs to offer new, fun and exciting options for the community,” said Arin Sweet, Superintendent of Arts and Entertainment. “We will share a sample calendar to give an idea of trips and activities that we have planned, and all ways that the camp experience can be rich and rewarded.”
The release states that the Summer Camp Programming runs through August with activities in the park, playgrounds and swimming pools in district facilities and local schools. There are half-day camp options for the age of 3 to 5 years, the entire day camps for the age of 5 to 14 years, a week’s camps for different age, and pre-and-seasons camps.
“This year, we are excited to offer more pre-season and post-seasons camps, as they are really popular among families,” Sweet said.
According to the release, this year new camps include “World Explorers Camp” for the age of 3 to 5 years; “Lill ‘Artists Camp” for the age of 5 to 7 years; And “artistic explorers” for the age of 8 to 13 years.
The open house is from 5:30 to 7 pm till 29 February. At the Technical Preity Activity Center, 180 Anates Drive in Northbrook, released. If you register by 6 March, you can save 10% in most summer camps and workshops. If your desired camp or workshop is filled, you are encouraged to keep your name on a weightlist, the release said.
