A man allegedly looted the business late on Thursday night and then ran into the nearby forest, leading to the police’s reaction overnight.
The Northborough Police initially stated on social media around 11:40 pm that Walmart and Lawrence Street had an active police scene, asking people to escape from the area.
The police later gave an update, stating that they were searching for a person who went to the business of Route 9 and showed a gun. A Northboro official saw a man walking with Lawrence Street, who matched the details of the suspect, so he faced him, the point at which the suspect ran into a nearby forest.

In an update on Friday morning, the Northborough Police Department said it responded to armed robbery at around 10:30 am at Amazing Intimet Essential Store located in 15 Belmont Street, and established a periphery in Route 9 and Lawrence Street area.
Several police agencies responded, including Westborough, Shreyusbari, State Police and Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council.
Overnight video shows that it was an incredibly active view in Walmart Parking, with several police vehicles. K9 units and a SWAT team were also seen.
And the conversations on the scene were trying to communicate the suspect.
Using drone units, the police were able to detect a suspect hiding in a wild area near Walmart in 200 Otis Street.
Officials attempted to negotiate the surrender of the suspect, but the police say they refused to comply, so the state police’s special strategic operations team and negotiators were called to the spot to continue the talks.
Around 3 o’clock, the man surrendered without further incident, and the police say they found a replica gun and a two -edged knife on it.
Around 3:15 pm on Friday, the police said on social media that the scene in Walmart was clear.

Police say the person whose name has not been released has not been taken into custody and has been taken to the local hospital for the examination. He has been scheduled to oppose a dangerous weapon, violation of peace, disorganized conduct and arrest on Friday morning on charges of armed robbery.
