NBA champions and “Survivor” competitor Scott Pollard “feel awakened and great” a day after a heart transplant, his wife said on social media on Saturday.

“Scott has a new heart!” Don Pollard posted on X on Friday night, earlier known as Twitter. “Surgery went well and I have been told that the heart is big, powerful and an ideal fit! Now on the important part of recovery.”

He posted an update on Saturday, which wrote: “Look who is awake and looks great! The breathing tube came out early this morning and started jokes and singing,” I left my heart in San Fran-Neshville. ” We are all amazed at the recovery of Scott so far! ,

Pollard, who turned 49 on Monday, required a transplantation due to damage to his heart from the virus caught in 2021, triggering a genetic status, which she knew because he killed his father at the age of 54, when Scott was 16. “I am living here until I get the heart,” he said in a text message to the Associated Press from his hospital room in Nashville, Tennessee. “My heart has become weak. (Doctors) agree that this heart is my best shot to get quickly.”
