Marion Central Fortword Christian Bentnakur was selected for the Illinois Media (East Associated Press) Class 2A All-State Team, which was declared as a respectable mention on Thursday.
Bentankur, a 6-Foot-5, 235-Pound Senior, led the field in scoring (20.8 points per game) and rebounding (12.4), and finished his career with 2,047 points. Bentnakur, who will play a tight end in Clayson next year, was also voted for Illinois High School Football Coach Association Class 2A All-State Team.
Dokar Tedchi of Benton scored 100 marks in voting from media members across the state to lead the first team.
Ryan Tucker (99) of Bayran € ™, CJ Vorsham (88) of Christ the Kings € ™, Edin McGinley (86) of Beer € ™ and Philips € ™ EJ Horton (85) scored the first team.
The second team consisted of Detrich Richardson (81) of Poreia Manual € ™, AJ Brooks (80) of Nobel Hansberry € ™, Ryan Mbomboo (59) of Chicago Latin € ™, Seneca € ™ S Paxon Girts (51) and Rockford. Christian Coming of Christian € ™ (46).
Bentanakur scored 36 points, which is the fourth highest total of the Honorable Players.
