JuJu Watkins, 10th-ranked USC women crush Oregon – Daily News

Eugene, Ore. – Juju Watkins and USC Women’s Basketball Team took care of trade with a huge challenge on Sunday night.

Watkins defeated 33 points on Friday night for his fifth consecutive win and Trojan defeated Oregon 88-51.

Watkins was 12 for 25 from the ground (3 from 3-point range to 8), despite leaving the game for a while in the third quarter with an injury. He also made six free throw out of seven and caught eight rebounds for Trojan (19-4, 9-4 PAC-12), who plays 11th in Oregon State (21-3, 10-3) on Sunday afternoon.

McKenzie Forbes added 12 points to the USC, while Catitin Davis had 10 points, 11 rebounds and five assistance.

Chance Gray scored 12 runs to lead Duck (11–15, 2–11), who lost eight straight games seven against the rank teams. Grace Wanslutin added 11 points, four rebounds and four assistance. Philipina Kai pulled down 18 rebounds to go with 10 points.

After giving the first basket of the game, the USC responded with 19 consecutive points.


Kayla Padila scored inside with a bucket after Watkins. Watkins had 12 straight points to keep Trozon ahead 17–2 before Reh Marshal-which ended with 12 rebounds-a basket pair.

Watkins scored 14 points in the first quarter, as Trojan shot 10 for 10 to 20 from the ground to take a 29–7 lead. The Oregon quarter had 3 for 22 from the floor.

Forbes made a 3-pointer to proceed 43–13 in the third, before Watkins scored eight consecutive points and extended the margin to 50–17. Watkins gave a 30-foot shot on Bazar to leave the USC 57-21 in Halftime.

Watkins scored 24 points in the first half, as the USC shot 21 for 37 from the ground, including 7 for 16 from the back of the arch. Oregon was 10 for 37 from the floor and 1 for 3-point range from 6.

USC: Number 11 leading in Sunday’s performance with Oregon State, Trozon is 3-3 against the opponents ranked this season as they prepare for a three-game stretch, including Colorado and Utah.

Oregon: After facing number 9 UCLA on Sunday, Duck finally gets three consecutive games. This is the first time Oregon has worked late in the season under the 10th year coach Kelly Graves.
