Ketleen Clarke is now standing alone.
The Iowa Hockey Star broke the scoring record at the NCAA Division I Women Basketball at all times, against Michigan in Carver-Hockey Arena in Iowa City in the first quarter of the game.
Clarke was just eight points away from breaking the previous record of 3,527 points, organized by the Washington Guard and the current Las Vegas Ek Star Kelsi Plum’s East-University. Clarke made his first three shots against Michigan to score the first eight points of Iowa, cap by a record-breaking deep-up 3-pointer in the transition.
Clarke fired the entire Michigan team (22 points) with 23 points in the first quarter, shooting 5-for-7 and 10-for-for-10 in total.
Clarke, a senior, entered 32.1 points per game-one career-high in Thursday’s action. He scored 26.6 points as a new person, 27.0 points as a sophomore and 27.8 marks as a junior.
In his senior season, Clarke has taken his game to another level, with a large crowd in every Hawkis game. He has 15 games with at least 30 points, three games with at least 40 points and a 45-point season against Ohio State on 21 January. The number 4 is 22–3 in the Iowa season, after losing to LSU in the National Championship game last April, is set to score another run in the final four.
Clarke can now set his locations on Pete Marvich, which owns NCAA Basketball all-time scoring records for men and women at 3,667 points. At its current pace, Clarke should not have any problem crossing that number before the end of the season. Iowa has five regular season games remaining before the Big Ten tournament and NCAA tournament.
