The Maryland State Police has identified a woman, who died earlier this month in the state government office building.
A spokesman of the Maryland State Police, Ron Snier, said the investigation continues in the death of Janaai White, an employee of the General Services Department.
36 of Baltimore County, White was discovered on 9 February in a ladder inside the Atman-Glazer Building in 45 Calvert Saint in Anapolis.
A cause of death has not been released yet. According to the snider, foul play is not suspected.
State officials have so far answered some questions about White’s death.
An online obligation for white notes that she died on 8 February.
Police and emergency medical services were called to the office building in the afternoon on 9 February. In an email, the snider confirmed that White’s body was found in the ladder by a state employee.
So far, there has been no explanation of the time interval between White’s death and his body discovery.
In an email to Maryland Matters, the snider confirmed the presence of at least one security camera in the ladder.
It is not known whether the camera was on at the time of White’s death.
So far, the officials of the General Services Department have refused to answer questions about White’s death, including how it can happen without security construction.
The building where the incident occurred is about three blocks from Maryland State House and is close to a handful of other states and Anne Arundel County Government buildings. It is home to the Maryland office of budget and management, including the office suite used by Budget Secretary Helen Gradi.
Also the building has the Department of Service and Civil Innovation, the agency last year to lead its signature service program by the village Wes Moore (D); Office of Maryland State Ethics Commission; Evaluation and taxation for Anne Arundel County; And Public Employees Relations Board. More than a dozen state agencies also have satellites or legislative offices in the basement basement.
In an email sent to the department of General Services employees on the day of the incident, Secretary Atif Chaudhary announced the death of the state worker, but did not name him.
Chaudhary wrote, “It is with a heavy heart that we share this news.” “As any information is available for all of you, we will be sure to share it.”
There was no additional details in the email. This referred to the state’s employees for Anne Arundel County, State Employees Assistance Program and 988 suicides and crisis through the hotline, providing seven days a week 24 hours a week free, confidential support.
