Foxborough ambulance crash hospitalizes 5, including EMTs, patient and child – NECN


Two EMTs and one patient were one of the five people on Thursday after an ambulance and an SUV hit the head in Foxboro, Massachusetts.

The accident occurred at the main street around 7 pm, the office of the Norfolk County District Attorney said. It consisted of a Honda pilot operated by a 40 -year -old woman, whose younger daughter was on the back seat, and an ambulance that was carrying a patient in her 70s.


Prosecutors said the child was airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital to undergo advanced treatment.

Two EMTs, both in the 20s, were also hospitalized, as the patient and the driver of the SUV.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. The District Attorney Office says that its motor vehicle homeside unit along with the state and local police reacted at the scene.
