Wral Investigates Chapel Hill is learning more about a deadly accident in which three UNC football players and several students from local universities.
A new-relative court document suggests that one of the football players accused in the accident, Zachri Rice, was closely chasing another car at a speed of 124 mph. The car was chasing rice, which crashed, killing a 20 -year -old passenger oral Elizabeth Rotunda.
A total of 10 people now face allegations in the accident at the intersection of Rale Road and West Barbi Chappell Road on 21 January.

Documents indicate that the major car was operated by 20 -year -old UNC student Flemija Brever, who survived the accident and faced several allegations of hooliganism. A passenger and fellow UNC student, Rotunda, died in an accident, and another passenger, 21-year-old Brianna Tiera Pinson suffered non-janiel injuries.
Radio traffic issued by the police on Wednesday indicates that the authorities have received an automatic 911 call from one of the iPhones in the car.
Reference to the call “a vehicle which overturned. A person is unconscious. ,
Wral News has reported 10 people – at least five of them are facing allegations related to the students and at least one NC central student -accident investigation.
The investigation also includes the alcohol Law Enforcement (ALE) as investigators asked to drink together as well as to drink that they were still happening in hours before life, once on Franklin Street.
Wral News has learned that two life employees are still UNC students accused for servicing liquor to minors.
The Brever, who was driving a crashed car, appeared briefly in the court on Monday to hear his allegations. Rice is scheduled to appear in court on 7 March. The rest of the remaining charges are yet to be served his court summons.
10 charged in connection with the accident that killed UNC student
- The 20 -year -old Flemija Brever, the driver of the crashed car, is facing allegations of several hooliganism. She was driving the car in which Rotunda died.
- 21 -year -old Bryna Tiera Pinson of Greensboro was also in the car. She faces two cases of alcohol assistance and alcohol consumption by a person under the age of 21.
Brever and Pinson suffered non-neat injuries in the accident.
- 19 -year -old Travis Shaw was charged with liquor occupation/consumption, five cases of assistance/abet underege possession/alcohol consumption, and in the possession of an excellent order for arrest to fail to appear in Durham County for Marijuana’s possession, an excellent order for arrest, possession of alcoholic beverages and ignorance. The warrant show Shaw allegedly bought three bottles of Tequila in Still Life.
- The 20 -year -old Zachary O’Brien Rice of Virginia was accused of driving/occupying alcohol under 21, under 21, and driving over a posted speed limit.
- 19 -year -old Malki Hamrical was accused of possession/consumption of alcohol.
Those three youths – Hamric, Shaw and Rice – are listed in the UNC Football Roster.
- An employee of Still Life, 22 -year -old Karisa web, was accused of selling/alcohol.
- Annell McCenaire, 24, an employee of Still Life, was charged in five cases of sales/to reduce alcohol.
Both Webb and McNAir were also students in UNC. Wral News still reached for life for a comment and is waiting to listen back.
Three other people are accused of drinking young:
- The 20 -year -old Cameron Spencer was accused of possession/consumption of alcohol and two cases of giving malt drinks or unfortunate liquor to anyone under 21 years of age.
- 22 -year -old Caden Spander was accused in six cases of assistance/abet underege possession/alcohol consumption.
- 19 -year -old Maliah Palem was accused of possession of liquor and assistance/ABET possession/liquor consumption.
