Flooded roads, downed trees as severe thunderstorms, possible tornado wreak havoc in parts of Broward – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

On Sunday afternoon, a possible tornado touched near the Southern Bagh and Pine Island roads in Devi, surprised the residents and caused some damage.

On Sunday night, 7news cameras captured large trees, uprooted and fell on a fence in a neighborhood of Pine Island Road in Davi.

Another tree nearby came down and blocked a front door outside a house. The trees below were also seen in Hollywood.

Earlier in the day, people took on social media to show flooded roads and falling on the yard in front.

A family recorded the video, showing a strong gust that is almost blowing its courtyard cover.

The hug -season cellphone video showed the recorded poolside that the spring breakers were not expecting a lazy Sunday to enjoy.


In a close look on the ground near the pool, Ole was shown coming down.

“Damn it, it is like snow there,” a man is heard saying in the video.

Coconut Creek reported 2.4 inches of rain, and the plantation reported 2.15 inches of rain.

Fortunately, the rain stopped and later went to the offshore at night.

While the residents of Davi believe that a tornado touched down, the national weather services have not confirmed a touchdown till late Sunday night.

Meteorologists said that the rain is expected to return to the inland places to start late in the afternoon and evening on Monday. The biggest day of this week is expected to be Wednesday.
