Filipowski back in lineup after court-storming injury, leads No. 10 Duke past Louisville 84-59 :: WRALSportsFan.com

Durham, NC-Durham, Nekan (AP)-Kile Philipowski was in the initial lineup four days after retaining the knee injury when fans collapsed in court and on Wednesday night, the number 10 Duke defeated Louisville 84-59 to finish with nine points, 10 rebounds and six assistance.

Philipowski, a Presiden Associated Press All-American, was hurt in Wake Forest after a Saturday loss when he collided with a fan. The team managers and members of the coaching staff helped guide the sophomore standout away from the fans of the herd and away from the court.

“It was not very bad,” Philipowski said about making quick recovery. “A real difficult loss is coming, we had to find ourselves again.”

Jeremy Roach scored 19 points, Mark Mitchell joined 17 and won the sixth for the sixth matches as Blue Devils (22-6, 13-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) near Jred McCain. He played in all the previous 27 games, which starts 15 and an average was 7.7 points per game. The foster will be out for “some time”, Scheyer said. “We have to adjust without blackb. My heart breaks for him that he cannot play. ,

Big picture

Louisville: Cardinals hit the brake aggressively after opening February with their best offenses this season. It was not a winning recipe to make just 3 out of 17 attempts from the 3-point range, and the cardinals would be barely pressed to exclude the ACC basement.

Duke: Blue Devils was part of the college basketball conversation in recent times after the incident in the end of last week, which was not distracted by a very more debated court-storey issue. After three consecutive road games, Duke was not threatened whether a fugitive won. Blue Devils have won seven ACC games with 14 or more points.
