Evan Stumm, Marmion upset Burlington Central

After the senior guard Ivan Stum, only two points were held in the first half in the first half of Wednesday, the Marmen coaches who wanted to go back to the major scorer of his team to go back to the basic points.

Burlington Central promoted a little patience, with Pikarz playing close to the vest.

“They were still playing on it,” Pikarz said about the protective approach of the rockets. “In the first half, he was getting a little impatient with her. In the second half, he allowed things to grow.

“As they woke up on it, they made more tricks of a basketball instead of trying to go.”

Even though his outside shot never came, the Stum was going to host cadets, causing him to win 47–43 over Berlington Central in the Class 3A Marmen regional semi-finals.

The Stum led all the scorers with 14 points for the sixth seeded Marman (15–17), which proceeded to play in the championship game against 57–44 winners on plans, Caneland (24-5) at 7 pm on Friday evening.

Eight of the points for the stems came in the fourth quarter, which kept the third seeded Berlington Central (21–11) in the Gulf. Jack Regan added 10 points to the bench and Caden Anderson had nine.

Caden West scored 11 points from the bench for Burlington Central. And whereas none of any team rolled in the first half, including the steum, forced adjustment did a good job.

“I was not getting anything,” the Stum later said with a shrug. “3-ball was not falling for me, and that’s what I trust. I only used my comrades. They were opening me openly.

“I was getting cut and pastes, and I was attacking the defenders.”

The Stum is the only cadet that saw the time to play Versity during its historical sectional title in the previous season. He credits the experience that is accompanied by keeping him calm in a stressful game on Wednesday.

Stum said, “Playing the minutes that I did as the sixth man, this helped me settle.” “Of course, this is a playoff game. You will be a little nervous in the beginning. ,

Even for those new cadets who did not see the floor in the last winter playoffs, Pikarz knows that he was there for every step of that run.

“This is a great advantage that before and to say that perhaps you didn’t play, but you were sitting in the front line and you saw what happens to be able to move forward in Postsen, because it is different,” said Pikarz. “Postsen is very different from the regular season.

“They already knew that I was coming. I really proud them.”

Burlington Central was above three points in the third quarter, before the cadets scored 10–0 to take the lead for good. The Stum produced two driving pastes in that spirt.

In the fourth, every time the rockets get closer, the answer was the answer, either as a trimming or free throw. The closest Berlington Central in the quarter was three points.

Burlington Central Coach Brett Porto said, “When we got up near a couple, we had a couple empty,” said Burlington Central Coach Brett Porto. “They came back correctly and capitalized to swing it back in their own way.”

“Whatever you play in a regional final is really good, so it should be a fun game,” said Pikarz. “We are going to get ready because they can play.”

A player who knows that he will be ready is the Stum.

“Ivan is tremendous,” said Pikarz. “He has been tremendous for us throughout the season.

“Not just in court. The leadership he has provided, as the only person who played any Versity Basketball last year, is no surprise that he led the team in the fourth quarter. ,
