North Miami, Fla. (WSVN) – North Miami had breakfast and books on the menu for national reading on the day of America.
A group of girls got to read the bagel bar in North Miami on Saturday to read in the East and enjoy the dawn filled with drawing.
The event was organized by The Ambress Girls Foundation with the help of Bagel Bar East’s owner Steven Hochman.
The organizers said they expect children to be motivated to read regularly.
“They are the future of our country, and if we do not have the ability to read or write in the future of our country, what are we as Americans?” Steven Gurovitz said, who is a board member for the Girls Foundation.
“This is one of the most important things that they continue to do so to learn, read and the whole community.”
The event was also a celebration of a famous writer’s birthday. Dr. Cess must have been 120 years old on Saturday.
