The Ellwood House Museum is happy to announce that it will reopen for the 2024 tour season on March 6, 2024. The historic house was built in 1879 for the thorny wire entrepreneur Isaac Elewood, and the Ellwood family had three generations home before donating to the Dekb Park district as a museum. Today, the Museum provides tourism of the Elwood-Nehing Home acquired by the museum in 2011 as well as a directed tourism of the luxurious Elwood Haveli.
The Tourism, directed by Elwood Haveli, is offered at 1:00 and 3:00 pm on Wednesday, and the tourism of Elwood-Nehing Home is offered at 2:00 pm, which along with the story of our experts, find out the amazing architecture of the Elwood family, historical rooms and attractive history that bring the Elwood story in life. The museum -directed group also provides tourism, which can be determined regularly out of the hours of the tour, which provides the right opportunity for organizations and larger groups to see these remarkable homes.
In the evening, adding a touch of glamor, the Ellwood Haveli will again host the “Evening at Elkort”, which is a great program to please guests with live music and delicious cutting and drinks at the Elwood-Nehing Home. Tickets will be available soon for the May 31, 2024 program.
For young audiences, Elwood Explorers, our young programming series, promises a dynamic and educational experience. Filled with interactive activities, these programs are designed to inspire a love for curiosity and history among the next generation.
