Elgin’s first recreational pot store council gets OK
This week, Elgin City Council approved plans for a 2,627-class entertaining cannabis dispensary, high heaven at the Clock Tower Plaza, National Street and South Grove Avenue.
High Heaven was approved by the council for a randel road location last year, but the storefront lease was not finalized after objections by other tenants and some residents.

While Randel Road is a more visible place, Liz Ditrich, Chief Administration Officer of High Heaven said, “It is difficult for the retail to come and we have a lot of additional restrictions due to the nature of our business. It takes a lot of options for us from the table,”
