A Bridgeport person, who is accused of threatening a Uber driver with a gun after being ill inside the rideshare vehicle, has been arrested.
Officers were called in 300 blocks of Madison Avenue on Friday after receiving a person’s report with a gun while fighting with his Uber driver.
Once in the area, police said that they found a 38 -year -old Bridgeport man, in which a pistol was pasted out of his pocket.
According to investigators, the man clearly vomited in the Uber car before getting out with Uber driver and arguing. At one point, the Uber driver said the man took out the gun.
The authorities seized the gun and called paramedics for the man’s informed intoxicated behavior. He was taken to the hospital in St. Vincent to evaluate him.
While investigating, the police said they came to know that the gun involved in the incident was stolen and the man is a guilty stay in which gun or ammunition has no legal rights.
The person was released from the emergency room and was taken to the Bridgeport Police Department to process him. He is facing allegations including carrying a pistol without a permit, criminal occupation of a gun/ammunition, theft of a gun and a violation of peace. The bond is set to $ 10,000.
