A fierce fire in Chelsea of Massachusetts consumed several multi-family houses on Friday morning, displacing about 40 people for at least night.
The flames spread quickly and the firefighters from several cities were called to extinguish the explosion on the Mavric Street.
Chelsea Fire chief Leonard Albanis said the fire has been started at the beginning of a house, reaching three other houses nearby and spreading nervousness among the residents. At one point, the authorities issued a meyade call or call to help, as two firefighters were trapped inside a building and they were to be saved with a ladder truck. Thankfully there was no injury, but the situation caused chaos because the residents participated from the buildings.

“Flames were very big, very heat that you could feel from here in all ways,” he said.
Rafael Pineeda, who lives in one of the buildings, said he ran away with nothing and was waiting to go back inside.
One of the affected people, Teresa Martinez told Telmundo Nueva England that she was scared but acted fast.
Martinez said in Spanish, “I have a girl who rents me and has a daughter, so I immediately put them out.”
More than one building suffers severe damage. Albanis said that five to seven families are displaced, about 40 people. Currently they are providing assistance with temporary housing by La Kolaborativa, American Red Cross and Chelsea Emergency Management.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
