Officials at San Juan, Puerto Rico – Eastern Caribbean said they were trying to locate two people who were on a boat, riding on a boat, kidnapped by three fleeing prisoners from Granada.
The Royal Granada Police Force said in a statement issued on Friday that they were working on “suggestions” that two people of the boat would have died.
“The investigation is in its initial stage,” the police said.
Officials in Granada said that they sent senior investigators and a forensic expert to a nearby St. Vincent, where the fleeing prisoners were arrested on Wednesday.
Prisoners aged 19, 25 and 30 were charged with a count of robbery with violence a few months ago. Police in Granada said the biggest prisoner was also accused in a count of rape, three rape cases and two cases of indecent attack.
According to police, three people survived their holding cell on 18 February.
Officials said the initial investigation shows that the three people seized the boat of St. George, the capital of Granada and traveled to St. Vincent. The owners of the boat have not been identified.
