Christine Cohen “Mysterious Code: Passenger manifest, letters and numbers” will present and explain what are the traces of letters, number, tickets and pencils when immigrant travelers appear. Does your ancestor have the letter “D” or “X” next to his name? Do you know what is the meaning of V/L, # 404, USB, Transit, CL, NOB, C/A, LPC, SI, NQIV, BSI, PV or C-XXXXX? Learn whether and when to contact American National Archives or American citizenship and immigration services so that more genealogical information about these codes can be obtained. She will also explain about the immigration experience of your ancestors based on these information.
Cohen is a native of California. He has been a long -time member of the Whitier Area Linery Society and is a program director. He is also a member of the association of professional lineage.
