IHSA State Championship: In the paletin, Declb-Syamor Senior Annabella Simpson was fourth on the vault on Saturday, who earned medals.
Simpson posted 9.575 to exclude Livi Tran (9.55) of Vernon Hill. Sabrina Nemsac of Harsi won the event with 9.75.

Bayran regional: In Bayran, Dekalb-Sycamore Co-op won a sectional title for the third straight year, posted a 279.5 team score in top Hononaga of over 30 points and sent six automatic qualifiers to the next week’s state tournament.
Jacob Grammar qualified for four incidents for the bar. He won both 50-yard freestyle in 21.44 seconds and 100 butterfly in 49.29. He was also with Kevin Sulivan, Calvin Wanderchi and Max Palasios with winning 200 Medley relay and winning 200 free relay with Vanderali, Palasios and Ivan Johnson.
Sulivan 2: 01.24 had 200 individual medal champions. Palacios won 100 free in 48.5. Last year, only grammar and 200 free relay were eligible.
Automatic dialects went to the winners of each incident. Later large qualifiers and seeds will be announced.
The state championship begins at the FMC Natatorium in Westmont on Friday.
