VAN NUYS – The defense on Tuesday rested Rebecca Grosman’s part of the case without standing in his defense stand on murder and an accident in his defense, his part of the case was rested, killing two young brothers in Westlake village in 2020.
During a hearing outside the presence of the jury, Grosman, co-founder of Grosman Burn Foundation, told Superior Court judge Joseph Brandolino that she understood that she had the right to testify or not.
After the rest of the defense, the prosecution called two brief refuting witnesses on Tuesday morning, expecting a final denial witness in the afternoon.
The gamblers will be instructed to return to the van Nuies Courtroom on Wednesday for the jury’s instructions. It has not yet been determined whether closed arguments will begin on Wednesday or Thursday.
Grosmans are accused on the murder of two counting and killing of vehicles with gross negligence and a hooliganism of hit-and-run driving, resulting in death in connection with the accident, resulting in the 11-year-old Mark Iskander and his 8-year-old brother, Jacob, dead. The boys were allegedly killed by Growsman’s fast white Mercedes-Benz SUV after crossing the Westlake Village Street with their family in September 2020.

The prosecution alleges that the Grosman was intensifying when he hit the boys in the crosswalk, deputy district attorney Ryan Gold told the gamblers that the Grosman was “flooring” to deliver himself to 81 miles per hour on the 45 miles of road and was driving more than 70 miles per hour at the time of impact. The elder boy died at the scene, and his brother died in a hospital.
The prosecutor told the gamblers that the Grosman would not have killed the boys if she was driving at the speed range, and said she was “a mile away from a third.”

The lawyers of the Grosman insisted that she was not the driver responsible for the deadly accident, which she had out of a crosswalk.
Lead Defense Attorney Tony Buzbi – Joe says that the Grosman was running “best” at a speed of 52 mph – pointed to the blame on Los Angeles Dojers Pitchcar Scott Ericason, alleging that he was driving a Black Mercedes SUV ahead of Grosman’s vehicle.
Ericson was described by the prosecutor as a lover of the Grosman at that time.
Dr. Justin score, a collision reconstruction engineer, who was called to the stand by defense, told the gamblers that “the lack of physical evidence (in the case) leaves a lot of space for ambiguity.”
The noise testified that if two vehicles killed two boys, or a vehicle hit them, there was a “no way”.
Rafael Mejia, deputy deputy of Los Angeles County Sheriff, testified during the prosecution case that he did not find any debris according to a black SUV or any kind of black vehicle.
“We saw no indicator that there was another vehicle, showing that the debris at the scene indicated that a white vehicle was involved.”
The deputy said that he had considered the possibility that more than one vehicle was involved in the collision with the boys, but he said that all the rubbles were “corresponding to a white vehicle.” He said he believes that the accident was “traveling at an unprotected speed due to the vehicle,” and he said he was standing at that conclusion.

Mejia said that he found Grosmanman about a three-tenth part of a mile standing outside his SUV, which caused the front-end damage.
“He told me that his vehicle was disabled by Mercedes-Benz,” Mejia told the gamblers that the airbag was closed and the grossman told him that he had hit something, but he did not know what he killed.
In her conversation with Grosman, the deputy said, “She kept asking me to call her husband. … her husband could help those children. ,
While the Grosman was not invited to the stand, the gamblers, their 19 -year -old daughter, Alexis and the husband of the defendant, Dr. Hearing testimony during the case of rescue of the case from Peter Grosman.
Alexis Grosman testified that Ericson faced him immediately after the collision and threatened to “ruin you and your family” when he talked about seeing him that night.
The woman testified that she saw Ericson hiding behind a tree near the scene of the accident, as her mother was being questioned by investigators, and said that Ericson soon exploded in her house, screaming angrily, “Why did your mother stay? Why did your mother stop? … Why did he not just run the house? ,
Alexis Grosman said, “His face was red (and) I could smell alcohol on him.” “He was coming out. I was afraid that he could do something to hurt me or my family. ,
The defendant’s husband, who is the director of Grossman Burn Centers, told the gamblers that she was in a vehicle hundreds of times with his wife when she was behind the wheel, but she did not remember if she reached the speed range.

Peter Grosman said that he learned about a fatal accident from his daughter, testifying that his wife was “almost incompatible, crying, trembling, incredibly emotional” when he picked up a jail in Linwood about 30 hours after the accident.
He said that later he took pictures of his body complaining about injury to his body, when he complained of pain.
The doctor described his wife – whom she married in 2000 – as a “engine” that serves as the Grosman Burn Foundation, but said the two started dating others after deciding to separate.
Grosman is free on $ 2 million bonds. If he is convicted as accused, he can face up to 34 years in the state jail.
