Los Angeles – Los Angeles City Council on Tuesday approved a proposal to call a Citizen Advisory Committee on the future development of the Van Noys Airport.
In 13–0 votes, the council members directed the city’s Planning Department and Los Angeles World Airports to finalize the panels of residents of Council Districts 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 12-Joe San Fernando Valley includes the neighborhood in the Valley.
Council members will also have the option to participate in meetings.
The recommendations come from a proposal launched by counseling Emolda Padila and Nithya Raman in November 2023. According to the proposal, the specific plan of the van Nuz Airport requires modernization, as it was adopted about 18 years ago.
