German publisher Axle Springer CEO, billionaire Hedge Fund Manager Bill Ekman and Mathius Dopfner were seen dinner together at New York City Restaurant last week, Page Six told on February. According to sources talking to Page Six, despite Ekman’s recent threat, the business of his wife owned by Axle Springer was “harmonious” and “good” of his dinner with Dopfner, with Dopfner.

Last month, Business Insider published a report, published a report accusing Ekman’s wife, Neeri Oxman, an architect and former professor at MIT. Dissection from sources like Wikipedia. The report did not come for a long time after Harvard’s alumnus Ekman, who launched a campaign to handle the allegations of literary theft to former Harvard President Claudin Gay and to handle antisementism in the campus. Gay resigned on 2 January.

Although Ekman raised the issue with the reporting process of Business Insider, he was particularly upset with a follow -up article, claiming that the Oxman had admitted to stealing literary, apologizing for the errors found in his doctoral dissertation.

“Honest errors are not literary theft under MIT’s own policies,” Ekman broadcast on 20 February, said in a podcast interview with Lex Fridman. In his view, Oxman’s errors were inadvertently, separating him from academic fraud.

On January 10, in an X thread (using the long post feature of the X premium), Ekman listed several tasks, which he admitted that the axle springer and the dopfner should take to resolve the crisis, including an in-tradition meeting and an apology from the doper, which was referred to by Ekman as “Micaclac”.

“3. Michael needs to go on an aircraft and meet me immediately in New York. 4. Michael, Henry, and I need to sit tomorrow and solve this dirt so that: it never happens to anyone.”

Barbara Peng, CEO of Business Insider, released a statement four days later stated that the publication reporting is without accurate and inappropriate prejudice. Business Insider has not changed or removed those articles about Ekman’s request towards Oxman.

Despite his issues with Business Insider, in his X post, Ekman said that he has heard from “many people around the world” that Dopfner is “a wonderful, first -class person”.

It is possible that Ackman and Döpfner are familiar only recently. But an organization called World Minds, founded by Axle Springer Swiss writer Rolf Dobeli, has been in Ekman’s orbit as a majority stakeholder. In the New York magazine published on 12 February, a profile of Ackman mentioned a gathering in November 2023, which was organized by the investor and his wife on behalf of the world brain.

There are about 1,500 aristocrats around the world in the World Minds community, and its rotational ceremonies aim to discuss global issues among themselves in “Intellectual Oasis” according to their website. The Oxman sits on the organization’s board.

Axle Springer became a majority investor in the World Minds in 2022. Dopfner said in a statement at that time that his company would help to expand the organization internationally.
