Charlston, W.VA. – How long the state takes for the loss of vehicles on the West Virginia highway, an ongoing complaint about it is the focus of a bill which passed the House Finance Committee on Thursday evening.
Vernon Chris
Bill, HB 5595, reduces this process from the time until a motor driver is claimed to be his money. There are many complaints about how long the current process takes through the court of the state claims.
The bill asks to meet several characteristics so that the state agrees with the claim to use a small process, including the DOH and inform the clerk of the claims that it will determine an entire amount or a specific amount of claims.
The prescribed amount of the claim may not exceed $ 3,000.
According to the bill, money for road claims will come from a line item from the court of claims in the budget of the state DoH.
House Finance Committee Chairman Vernon Chris, R-Wood said that the design of the entire process is to speed up things.
The bill now goes to the entire house for consideration.
The main sponsor of the bill is House Speaker Roger Hanshow.
