NBC10 Boston caught Massachusetts’s Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell in his first year office.
Campbell was sworn in on January 18, 2023, as the first black woman to win the statewide election in 2022.

In the interview, Campbell touched the role of an Attorney General in combating hatred.
He said, “Everything we take for a civilized society, what is looking at the partition in this country is in hatred and white domination, to do everything with power,” he said. “A central and important role is that this office plays in addressing all that. It is very different and unique. ,
The Attorney General said that its top priorities are still related to the ability of everything from housing and utilities to health care.
Campbell also talked about his approach to work.
“Everyone should take a break in the middle of the day – if you can get away from the desk,” he said. “Turn off your brain for a moment, you are more productive in the latter part of the day. Exercise, we know, good for mental health. ,
