Charlston, SC (AP) – Donald Trump won the Republican Primary of South Carolina on Saturday, defeated former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley in her home state and further strengthened her way for a third direct GOP enrollment.
Trump has now swept of every competition to be counted for Republic Representatives, already with victory in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and US Virgin Islands. The latest victory of the former president will increase the pressure on Haley, who was a former representative of Trump for the United Nations and the Governor of South Carolina from 2011 to 2017, to release the race.
The normal rematch of 2020 between Trump and President Joe Biden is becoming increasingly unavoidable. Haley vowed to stay in the race at least through a batch of primary on 5 March, known as a Super Tuesday, but despite holding more campaign programs, was unable to dent Trump’s speed in his home state and argued that the prosecution against Trump would have been founded against Biden.
South Carolina’s first-south primary has historically been a reliable beloveder for Republican. Since 1980, all have become candidates for the Republican winning party in South Carolina, since 1980. The loan exception was Newt Gingrich in 2012.
