Groovy Garden Show to offer something for everyone (Column) – The Lawrence Times

The Douglas County Extension Master Gardeners Free Gruvie Garden Show features expert speakers, educational booths, workshops, rawls and silent auctions, garden arts, and a garden garage and the facilities of vendors and food trucks.

According to our educational mission, EMG-Staffed educational booths will provide guidance and expert advice on garden themes including young gardening, including young horticulture, using indigenous plants, identifying beneficial insects, increasing vegetables and making self-water plants. You can also get help in dealing with your garden problems, plan your landscape, learn money-saved stability tips, prepare for gardening with yoga-based stretch and the treatment energy of crystal singing bowls.

The new director of Monarch Watch, Christon A. The bom, a special speaker, shares the importance of Monarch Westen to support pollutants. Additional presentation themes will include medicinal plants for your garden, a garden soil health primer, gruvi gardening we age, and food landscapes. In order to discuss the community garden, our partner will be in hand at the Common Ground. Finally, you can learn about square-foot gardening in our Fairground Hoop House.

For experience on hands, sign up for a workshop. Projects include eccentric garden mushrooms, pie pan garden art flowers, or recycled wood aurol feeder. All capabilities are welcome. These are physical fees for these “Make and Tech” projects. Information of details and registration can be seen on dgemgks.org.

Recycling began in the late 1960s. Gruvie garage sales respects the principles of recycling, recycling and recycling and re -introducing gardening tools and decorations. Garage sales, reflections and silent auctions, garden art, and workshops support the ongoing public educational programs and activities for Douglas County C-State Extension Master Gardeners, moving beyond workshops.

The attendees will appreciate the gardening-centered expertise, garden products and art provided by our vendors. In addition, food and beverages will be available from food trucks.

Horticulture feeds the soul and provides a sense of peace and hope for the future. The Classic Rock Anthem “Woodstock” reminds us, “we have found ourselves back to the garden.” After a cold winter, we just invite you to do so. The incident is independent and open to the public, set in Douglas County Fairground from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday, 2 March, 2110 Harper St. Speaker will start at 9:30 am and will continue in hours. The final presentation will be at 1:30 pm
