When Petricia Druz dropped a message in a bottle from the Carolina coast, she did not expect it to be found in half the way worldwide – but she hoped that it would happen.
“I wanted anyone who found the bottle that had such a beautiful life and a beautiful heart to know the story of that beautiful girl,” said Drej.
His daughter, heaven Leh Nelson, died of a phentineel poisoning in 2019. She was 24 years old.
“These children are getting illegal synthetic phenomenal and they have no clues that they are getting,” said Drej. “” (His) life was stolen from him, from his family, from his friends, a poisoning. ,
Since then, Drews have been raising awareness about the dangers of illegal drug while taking care of their grandson.
“I am the founder of the victims of North Carolina. We have eight chapters across the state, ”said Drej. “We reach these families, we support these families and our motto is ‘none of the lonely’. It’s one thing that I remember is alone and thinking that I was the only person in the world that has happened. We help these families and we become friends and then we become families.”
Every year, Drews and their grandchildren travel a beach on 28 January – the date of death of heaven.
A shot of the message in a bottle found in France.
“Heaven was in love with the beach,” said Drej. “What do we do every year since he passed away. We go to the beach somewhere and we are sitting there looking at the sunrise. ,
Three years ago, on the second memorial trip, the Drews decided to write the message. He wrote the story of heaven in a letter, wrapped him in a picture of him and sealed it in a bottle.
Captain Shane Bashore met a droz at a boat dock at Mertal Beach, South Carolina. He has been running a charter boat service there for decades. He said that he had a lot of interesting requests over the years, even spreading ashes in the sea for loved ones but it was the first.
“He told me the story about the message in a bottle. I wanted to make sure that in fact it was a chance to go somewhere else except washing on the beach, ”said Bashor.
A woman wrote her daughter’s life story on a note, which traveled from South Carolina coast to France.
Bashor took a bottle 50 miles away from the coast and dropped it near Gulfstream. For years, the currents pushed and pulled it until it eventually ended in Porto Nowalo, France. On January 4, the Druz received an email from two women who found it.
It was the week before his fifth beach journey in memory of heaven.
“I was so sad. January is difficult for me. I was ill with a virus in a crying bed for three days and I had a dream about the bottle, ”said Drej. “I checked my Yahoo account and sure I had an email that the bottle was found in France.”
A few days later, he received another email from Charlotte Baward. He got a bottle with his 11 -year -old son.
“It was very painful and very touching that it came to us. I think it means something, “Baward said. I understood that I had to talk to (my son) about drugs. We had never talked about it before because he is very young. The way Petricia wanted to recreate her story, I was also very touched. ,
He sent his photos of the bottle along the French beach. Drews, who have a French lineage, were amazed.
“I cried it was very emotional for me. She loved to travel and think that she had made it all the way to France, “Drew said,” I could not help think, of course it is that heaven is the place that is beautiful in any way. She is helping me spread messages and save life. And (she is telling me) I am not alone. He is still with me. ,
This year’s anniversary journey, Drews and her grandson traveled to Carolina Beach, with another family affected by Phantanel Poisoning.
Selma’s Missi Duff lost her daughter Micheiko Duff in Phantenile Poisoning years ago and she is also picking up her granddaughter. The story of the bottle of the Drews gives him hope.
“It tells us that our angels are out of there and they are sending us signs and they are telling us to continue fighting,” said Duff.
The bottle is still out. The Boward and his son gave a police officer to take them back to the sea. Druz hopes that someone else will find it in the future.
