Washington (AP) – Nikki Haley has won Republican Primary in Colombia district, given the first win of the 2024 campaign.
His victory on Sunday at least temporarily stops the sweep of Donald Trump’s GOP voting competitions, although the former President is obliged to take several hundred more delegates in the Super Tuesday race of this week.
Despite her early deficit, Haley has said that she will at least be in the race through the competitions, although she refused to take the name of any primary, which she believed that she would win. After the loss of last week in her home state of South Carolina, Haley was adamant that the campaign had so far voted after an option for Trump despite her dominance.

The Associated Press declared Haley as the winner on Sunday night after the DC Republican Party officials released the results. He won all 19 delegates at stake.
Washington is one of the highest democratic courts in the country, with only 23,000 registered Republicans in the city. Democrats Joe Biden won the district with 92% of the votes in the 2020 general election.
Trump released a statement shortly after Haley’s victory, in which he was named the queen of the marsh by “lobists and internal sources of DC, who want to protect the unsuccessful situation.”
Haley held a rally in the country’s capital on Friday before returning to Northern Carolina and a series of states having Super Tuesday primary. She joked with more than 100 supporters inside a hotel ballroom, “who says there is no Republican in DC, come.”
“We are trying to make sure that we can touch every hand that we can and talk to every person,” Haley said.
As he gave his standard campaign speech, Trump criticized for running the federal deficit, a rally said, “He cannot win the general election. This is madness. This inspired the agreement with Haley, who argues that she could deny Biden a second term, but would not be able to Trump.
Preaching as a conservative conservative, Haley has performed better among more liberal and independent voters.
Four of the 10 Haley supporters in South Carolina’s GOP Primary were self-known models compared to Trump, according to AP VotCast, a survey of over 2,400 voters in Republican Primary in South Carolina, was conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago. On the other hand, 8 out of 10 Trump supporters recognized Haley as orthodoxy compared to about half of the backbacks.
Trump won an uncontested DC primary during his 2020 repetition bid, but was in a distant third place four years ago. Florida’s Sen Marco Rubio and Ohio village behind John Kasich. Rubio’s victory was only one in three in his unsuccessful 2016 dialect. Other and more Centrist Republicans, including Mitt Romney and John McCain, won the city’s primary to win GOP nominations in 2012 and 2008.
