A fire broke out in a garage near McHeenry on Sunday afternoon.
According to a news release from the McHeenry Township Fire Protection District, the firefighter arrived at a house in the 1500 blocks of North Hillside lane at around 4:15 pm in the 1500 blocks of the North Hillside lane to find “a large amount of fire” outside a garage attached to the house.
On arrival, the crew started excluding the explosion and searched the house. As per the release, the house was found shallow and the fire was brought under control within eight minutes.
According to the release, no citizen was injured. It is not known whether any firefighters were hurt or not.
According to the release, the fire was investigated and an estimate of a damage was not available.
