MSU board asks Whitmer to weigh removal of Dennis Denno, Rema Vassar

The report also found that Vasar violated the policies of morality by accepting a private jet and courtside ticket from a donor.

Vasar said before the board’s vote, “Without clear bright lines, we are subject to bias that are somewhat accountable to vague policies, punish trustees for inconsistent by -elections and give some exposure for some expectations.”

With Vasar’s resignation, Republican Dan Kelly, who is now in the board, is now the chairman and Kelly Tbey Vice Chairing.

The report also blamed Scott for violating morality policies by sharing the letter with privileged information to Scott. The firm recommended the board sensor Scott. Board members approved a proposal to do so on Sunday night.

Vasar was the only dissatisfaction.

Scott said, “I don’t know what kind of examples we are setting, where someone who moves forward to demonstrate laxity and some inconsistencies have to censors.”

“It is sad for me that my legacy would be that I was censored as a trustee to do so that I felt to be done under circumstances.”

Meanwhile, Dano issued a statement on Sunday, disagreeing with the findings of the report and claimed that he attended the board to ask questions to ensure tax dollars and tuition funds.

He said, “I deny most of the allegations,” he said, “when I asked questions in a nine-page document about potential moral and other violations by three other trustees, (Law firm) ignored it.

“By not reviewing all the allegations against all the trustees, the purpose was not to investigate the malpractice of the board, their aim was to target Dr. Rema, and they were made beautifully paid by taxpayer’s money and tuition dollars.”

Dano said he and Vasar fought for the university to issue documents related to former Larry Nasar, which was convicted by the former MSU doctor for several sexual exploitation crimes against children.

The university was held for the first years, this state will not release thousands of documents related to the scam to the Attorney General. But in December, board members unanimously voted for the transfer of these documents. The university announced on Friday that it had started the process and was aimed at completing the transfer by the end of March.
