The bracket is inside, the Times are sets and whatever is yet to be done is to play: ACC female basketball tournament is set to start in Greensboro, North Carolina on Wednesday. Chasing a championship this week, there is a look at the path for triangle teams.

Neck state

Wolfpack shut down 2-seeds with a win against Wake Forest on Sunday afternoon, giving them a double-bye. The neck state will not play till 5 pm on Friday, March 8, its rival will be the winner of the matchup between 7-seed Duke and Georgia Tech/Pitt. Whether high seeds should proceed, Wolfpack divided the season series with Blue Devils, defeated Duke at home in January and lost to Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium in February.

Wolfpack finished 25–5, 13–5 seasons in ACC play in total. The State State ended the season with two domestic victories, against number 19 Syracuse and Wake Forest. All five beginnings of Wolfpack at least 10 points per game. Azia James takes the way with 15.6 PPG.

The State State has won the ACC women’s basketball tournament seven times, including three directly in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Even on Sunday, the Duke ACC tournament has a 7-seed in the Duke ACC tournament. While not double-bye, Blue Devils will leave the first round, play on Thursday 7 pm on March 7 at 5 pm, its rival will be the winner of the matchup between 10-seed Georgia Tech and the 15-seed pit on Wednesday.

Blue Devils ended the season with a record of 19–10 in ACC Play, 11–7. Duke has played a difficult program in the country, including sports against number 1 South Carolina and No. 4 Stanford. Duke is one of the best defense in ACC, which allows just 57.9 points per game. Junior Regan Richardson made a way for a crime at an average of 11.9 points per game.

Should Blue Devils win on Thursday, they will face the 2—seed neck state at 5 pm on Friday, both teams divided the season series, in which Duke won the most recent match.

Duke has won the ACC female basketball tournament eight times, recently in 2013.


North Carolina

Tar Heels on Sunday bounced back from the back-to-back necklace to defeat rival Duke at Carmail Arena and would have 8-seed in the ACC tournament. There is also a goodbye in North Carolina and will play 9-seed Miami on Thursday 7 March at 1:30 pm

UNC finished the season with a record of 19–11, in 11–7 ACC Play. Tar Heels began to play ACC 7–1, but lost four-direct games in late January and early February. In her last six matches of the season, North Carolina was ahead 4–2. Deja Kelly, Elisa Utbi and Lexi Donersky score in double-figure for all Tara Heels, in which Deja Kelly made way with 16.8 points per game.

Should Northern Carolina win on Thursday, they will face a 1-sed Virginia Tech on Friday at 1:30 pm. Hokies won both games against UNC this season, although for the first time for overtime in Chapel Hill.

Northern Carolina has recently won the most recent ACC female basketball tournaments of the most recently active members (9) in 2008.
