Wral News Crews on Monday saw many parents picking up their students from school early. A parent spoke to Wral News Off Camera, he said that his child told the student who had threatened last week, was in the building on Monday.

Wral News spoke to a staff member on Monday, who believes that the student is a serious security threat and is concerned that the student is not getting the help that they need.
The same employee told Wral News that he believes that the proposed security plan is not sustainable, saying that he is upset with dealing with the situation in the district.
Andy Jenux, spokesperson of Chapel Hill and Carboro City Schools, says the district is listening to and listening to concerns from families and employees, while the student balances the right to privacy and education.
“We are not only looking for the best interests of a particular student, but also the best interests of everyone inside the school at this time,” Jenx said. “They can be true at the same time, but it is up to us that we work with everyone involved to develop that shared understanding.”
Genux said that substitute teachers and other employees have covered Monday’s vacancies, so no classes were canceled.
A student resource officer who usually covers three schools will also stay in McDogal Middle School throughout the week.
The Karboro Police has confirmed that a teenage petition was filed on the student last week who threatened last week.
