The Road Island Department of Kareks’ is being investigated on Saturday morning after the death of a prisoner at the Intec Service Center in Cranston.
According to WJAR, a prisoner was alerted for safety in medical crisis in his cell around 2 pm on Saturday. The nursing staff responded to the site of medical assistance and emergency medical technicians with Cranston rescue.
The prisoner was rushed to the Road Island Hospital in Providence, where he later died.
Death is under investigation.
