Miami (WSVN) – Miami police of the city appreciated several South Florida students as part of the Do the Right Thing Initiative.
The police department celebrated the youth who work as an inspiration for the community at a function held in the auditorium of the main clarence Dixon Police College on Thursday morning.
Ella Lopez, a new man from the Pincress Glade Academy, was honored for his courage in reporting serious threats against a teacher.
He said, “There were children on a chat threatening a teacher, and I decided to move and say something.” “Honestly, I decided to do the right thing because I love that teacher, and hurt to listen to those types of things.”
The lopez was one of the 10 students honored during the ceremony.
