Mike Buholar, chairman of the board of McHeenry County, distributed his annual state of the county through an earlier video, which lasted for about 30 minutes, postponing many achievements and things to come.
The video was shot in a historic room inside the New McHeenry County Sheriff Office Training Facility in Carrie, which opened the final decline. The training center was one of the items that were celebrated at their address.
“We could not beat the price,” said a Republican Buhler of Crystal Lake. County paid $ 1 to buy the structure.
Buhler also talked to Kovid -19 about the economic reform of the county, in which the formal public health emergency ended last year, although the virus remains in vogue.
“McHenry County has made its comeback, and it’s our time,” said Buhler.
Buhler Hypededa various things that have occurred in County, including new operations of the former Harvard Motorola plant. McHenry and Woodstock launched “simple” trade incubators, said Buhler, and “he encouraged other municipalities to follow the suit.”
He also talked about the recently opened interchange and interstate 90 in Marnggo and how thousands of new houses are built in the county.
He referred to other and recent developments, such as a lack of staffing due to the Lake County due to a one -year agreement between McHeenry and Lake Counties for House Lake County Inmates in McHenry County Jail.
The state of Illinois forced us to end our contract for House Federal Immigration prisoners, when McHeenry County lost, will help in additional revenue and will help offset some of the expenses we spent with the Safe-T Act, “the arrest has been arrested to determine that arrest has been arrested.
He talked about some things coming to the county, including the Route 47 widening project which is scheduled to start in Woodstock this year, in which he said that the authorities have been trying to start for years.
“Our perseverance has paid,” said Buhler.
Buhler also talked about Randel Road Construction. Phase 2 in Crystal Lake and Lake In the Hills is also ready to start construction this year, and County received a $ 20 million grant in November to fund some projects.
He also talked about the Longongamado Bridge in the Algonquin region, it was expected to open this year. The county board voted for the chip in $ 1 million to help eliminate the plan for tollboths on the bridge in December. Buhler said that this required $ 35 million to do so, of which the state was in $ 30 million. McHeenry, Kane and Cook Counties were on the hook for the rest, said Buhler.
“It was a great investment that would save passengers hundreds of dollars per year,” said Buhler.
After wrapping the speech of Buhler, he added a couple of comments.
“This board has done some amazing work to improve our community, so thanks to the board,” he said.
County’s address position comes when Buholar is getting ready for reunion this year. He does not have a rival on March 19, but in the November election, County Board member Kelly Vegener will run against D-Cristal Lake.
In the member’s comments after the county address, Wegener talked about gun violence and especially mentioned the shooting of Wednesday in Canasus City after the Cancer’s major super bowl parade. Associated Press said on Thursday that 22 people were shot, and one person was killed.
“This super bowl was about to be a festive day for victory,” said Vejner. “When people with guns threaten our daily life and the special events that we keep dear, you think something will be done.”
