Deadly house fire in Stafford, Vermont – NECN


According to the Vermont State Police, a resident of Straford, Vermont caught fire in a house on Thursday morning.

NBC affiliated WPTZ reported that a house on Rogers Road caught fire around 8 am.

The state police said that the firefighters entered the house completely in the flames. He was alerted that a person was still indoors, but his body was not recovered until the fire was extinguished.


The body of the victim was taken to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington to determine the cause of the death, and the Vermont State Police was investigating the incident. The identity of the victim has not been released, which is a pending notification of family members.
